1. Nature & Purpose of Program
The Craft Club provides scheduled, instructor-led arts, crafts, and creative/STEAM skill-development classes. The primary purpose of each class is artistic, recreational and skill development, not temporary childcare or general supervision. The Craft Club is not a licensed childcare center or home childcare agency. Program format, ages, duration, frequency, supervision arrangements and registration practices may be restricted or modified where reasonably necessary to comply with Ontario’s Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (“CCEYA”) and other applicable laws.
The Parent/Guardian shall provide complete and accurate information reasonably required for safe participation and shall promptly advise the Craft Club of any material changes.
2. Registration & Eligibility
Registration is not complete until the Craft Club has accepted the registration, received all required forms and payment, and confirmed the Participant’s place in a specific scheduled class. Public classes are ordinarily offered to children ages 4 to 10.
A child under age 4 will be accepted only for a specifically approved program in which a Parent/Guardian or the host school/organization remains responsible for the child’s care and personal care needs throughout the class, and only where the Craft Club is satisfied that the arrangement is lawful, safe and appropriate. The Craft Club may establish bona fide age, developmental, safety and program-specific prerequisites, subject to applicable human rights and accessibility obligations.
No registration creates an entitlement to general drop-in care, extended supervision, before/after care or attendance outside the confirmed class time.
3. Fees, Payment, Cancellations & Refunds
Fees, taxes, deposits, cancellation deadlines, credits and refund terms will be disclosed at or before registration. Any mandatory rights or remedies under applicable consumer protection legislation prevail over inconsistent terms in this Agreement.
Subject to mandatory consumer rights, missed classes attributable to a Participant are non-refundable unless the applicable registration terms state otherwise. If Craft Club cancels a class, it will provide a make-up class, credit or refund, subject to applicable law. The Craft Club may modify instructors, projects, rooms or locations where reasonably necessary, provided the essential nature of the purchased program is not materially changed.
4. Attendance, Arrival & Departure
The Participant may enter the instructional area at the scheduled class start time and must be collected promptly at the scheduled end time. Unless expressly provided in writing for a particular program, the Craft Club does not provide early-arrival, between-class, after-class or other extended supervision.
Participants ordinarily may attend only one Craft Club class per day. A Participant will not be released to an unauthorized person. The Parent/Guardian must comply with the Authorized Pickup and Child Release Form. Late pickup may result in a reasonable late fee disclosed before registration, and where repeated or serious, suspension or termination of registration.
5. Health, Allergies, Medication & Emergency Information
The Parent/Guardian shall complete the Medical/Emergency Authorization and Allergy Plan accurately and update it as needed. The Craft Club will collect only information reasonably required for safety, emergency response, participation and accommodation.
The Craft Club does not guarantee an allergen-free environment. The Parent/Guardian must disclose known allergies, anaphylaxis risks, emergency medication/devices and response instructions. The Craft Club does not administer routine medication. Where a child requires emergency medication or an emergency device (including an epinephrine auto-injector), participation may be conditional on an individualized written emergency plan, medication being immediately accessible, and the Craft Club being reasonably able to implement the plan. A trained instructor may assist with or administer emergency medication where authorized and reasonably necessary in an emergency, within the instructor’s training and lawful authority, while 911 emergency services are contacted as appropriate.
The Craft Club does not provide toileting, diapering, feeding or other routine intimate personal care. A child who requires such assistance may participate only where a Parent/Guardian or an approved host-school/organization staff remains available and responsible for that care, or where a disability-related accommodation has been assessed and a lawful, safe individualized plan has been agreed.
6. Illness & Communicable Disease
A Participant must not attend if they are too unwell to participate safely or where attendance would create an unreasonable health or safety risk to others. The Craft Club may require pickup where a Participant becomes ill during a session. Decisions will be made reasonably and without discrimination, subject to accommodation obligations.
7. Accessibility, Disability & Accommodation
The Craft Club will provide services in a manner consistent with the Ontario Human Rights Code and applicable accessibility legislation. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to identify disability-related, sensory, communication, behavioural or other accommodation needs relevant to safe and meaningful participation. The Craft Club will consider accommodation to the point of undue hardship in accordance with applicable law.
8. Conduct & Safety
Participants and accompanying adults must follow reasonable safety instructions and treat participants, families, instructors and venue personnel respectfully. The Craft Club may intervene immediately where conduct creates a safety risk. Before excluding or terminating a Participant for disability-related conduct, the Craft Club will consider applicable accommodation obligations unless immediate action is reasonably required for safety.
9. Materials & Personal Property
Programs may use age-appropriate art and craft materials, including paint, glue, clay, dough, fibres/textiles, wood, plastics, small components, scissors and other tools identified for a particular activity. Clothing may become stained or damaged.
Personal belongings remain the responsibility of the family except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Separate Waiver & Media Consent
The Parent/Guardian acknowledges receipt of the separate Waiver, Assumption of Risk and Parent Release. Any Photography/Video/Media Consent is separate and optional. Refusal or withdrawal of promotional media consent will not, by itself, affect eligibility to participate.
11. Privacy & Confidentiality
Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Craft Club's Privacy Policy/Privacy Notice and applicable privacy law.
Parents/Guardians must not photograph, record, post, publish or distribute identifiable images, recordings or personal information of another child without the prior consent of that child's parent/legal guardian.
12. Communications
The Parent/Guardian consents to receiving operational communications reasonably necessary to administer the program at the contact information provided. Commercial electronic messages will be sent only in accordance with applicable law.

13. Suspension or Termination
The Craft Club may suspend or terminate participation for non-payment, serious or repeated safety breaches, abusive conduct, material misrepresentation, or where the program cannot safely accommodate the Participant after applicable accommodation obligations have been considered. Any refund or credit will be determined under the disclosed registration terms and applicable law.
14. Intellectual Property
Lesson plans, templates, instructional materials, branding and proprietary program content supplied by the Craft Club remain the property of the Craft Club or its licensors. Families may use take-home materials for personal, non-commercial purposes unless otherwise stated. Ownership of a Participant’s original artwork remains with the Participant, subject only to any separate, optional media consent.
15. Force Majeure
The Craft Club will not be responsible for delay or inability to provide a session caused by events beyond its reasonable control, subject to any non-waivable consumer rights. The Craft Club will communicate reasonable alternatives, credits or refunds where applicable.
16. Governing Law / Severability / Entire Agreement
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be severed or read down to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder will continue. This Agreement, the registration terms and incorporated policies constitute the agreement concerning participation, except that mandatory legal rights prevail.
17. Acknowledgement
The Parent/Guardian confirms that they have authority to register the Participant, have reviewed this Agreement and the documents incorporated by reference, have had an opportunity to ask questions, and agree to comply with them.
